I didn't realise the dinner was included. it was delicious and magical to sit outside and watch the game. liked the honesty bar and the pool to cool down after a long drive. the room was super comfortable too

The location is truly special and quite unique. The rooms are situated beautifully to fit into the natural surroundings and complement the landscape. The service is very personal, and you are made to feel right at home, from the time you check in. The lodge offers many activities to suit a variety of interests. Our evening meal was delicious and unpretentious. Due to its location, we had the pleasure of enjoying a heard of springbok grazing right in front of our patio in the early morning. Bonus point: they are pet friendly!
The location is perfect, so easy to get there from the highway, and back onto highway. It is pet friendly, but it's an open space for pets to roam around, our dogs would have done better in an enclosed little space as they don't particularly love other doggies.
A wonderful option for a halfway stop on a long drive. Although I wish we could have stayed a few days. Staff go above and beyond to try and make you comfortable. The food was good, the atmosphere cosy and the grounds are beautiful. Best of all, they are very pet friendly. Our little dog had an absolute ball exploring everywhere together with the resident dogs. She was delighted to run free on the huge lawns.
The location was perfect for an overnight stay - easy to find and close to the shops, etc. The premises are definitely pet friendly - even for a big dog (which was essential for us). The bed was very comfortable, and I like the idea of the shower being in the bedroom - very unique. The people across the road partied until the early hours of the morning - but we didn't hear them from inside the rooms. Even the neighbour came over for a friendly chat. All in all, a highly recommended guesthouse.
The fancy cactus must be our favourite pet-friendly place we have ever stayed at. We were allocated to one of the “pet-friendly” rooms; these rooms open up to a shared [enclosed!] garden. This “pet-friendly garden” meant we didn’t have to leash our dog every time we took her outside as she couldn’t go anywhere or run in front of cars. Really convenient compared to other pet-friendly establishments. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and we rested so well after a long drive from Pretoria.
