Gave me advise about what I can do in the area as well as what is worth to visit in Taiwan in general. Would definitely come back agian. The only thing what you would need to know is that the mattress was by far not as soft as in europe. But this has nothing to do with the hostel, I guess thats pretty standard in asia and you´ll get used to it.

She gave excellent recommendations for dining and things to do, and gave us detailed instructions on how to get there with a very easy to read map of Jiufen. The house offered spectacular views of the ocean, Jiufen Qingyun temple, and of Jiufen itself. The location was perfect in that it was close enough to Jiufen old street to walk, but was far enough away that our stay was peaceful and quiet.
