A beautiful little hotel on the tiny island of Donsö, with very clean and comfortable rooms. The restaurant is very good, and the breakfast buffet is spectacular. We happened to be there when the fiercest storm in a quarter century (Hans) hit the west coast of Sweden, so we were forced to stay inside. Isbolaget was so cozy and comfortable that we were happy to do so, even though we didn’t get to explore the island and its neighbor, Styrsö. The staff is warm and helpful as well.

The location is really unique as Borgunda is nicely situated on top of a hill with a great view. The apartment and furnishing gives a feeling of being at home and most of all we honestly felt welcomed by the hosts. The extra plus is the breakfast with home made bread, jam and other locally sourced products. We hope to be able to travel again to Borgunda for a third time in the coming years.
