This hotel was a real surprise when we checked in - the photos were nice at the time of booking but when we arrived, it was really fantastic! After arriving from a long day of travelling, we ate at the poolside hotel restaurant and bar which was completely delicious - and the drink recipes were very well thought out. We enjoyed the open-air spa next to our hut by getting a wonderful massage after our travelling and tourist activities, as well as the live music in the evening (one day a week at the time I was there). To include some more basic information, the hotel was impeccably clean, very communicative, had extremely helpful and friendly staff, and had unique and interesting decor throughout. I highly recommend booking a cabana room for a couple for a more unique experience!

La Tortue Diving Resort Dauin has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Dauin. 2.5 km from Dauin Beach and 14 km from Robinsons Place Dumaguete, the property features a private beach area, as well as a bar. The hostel also offers free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. Our diving and care given to us by ma'am Marielle and Nico was just exceptional. We love this place and would go back. The level of diving taught here is quite high and just outside the resort. There's already a lot of activity and coral reefs in the area. I did my open water here and I was able to dive with good bouyancy in Balicasag. I was also told when we did our dives in other places that my bouyancy was good especially having had not as much experience and it's because of the training here. The staff is also extremely well trained. The food is high quality .Better than even the more expensive hotels we stayed in the past. They really took care of us and helped us plan everything smoothly so we're able to get to our ferry on time. The pricing is also very cheap and very fair. You still need to bring cash but this was the only place we visited that had an arrangement where you can do e transfer but receive cash back and this helps so much travelling in the province. We chose La Tortue because my partner is french and I wanted him to feel safe and have a good trip during the first time we brought him to the Philippines. We don't regret choosing here. Also, the costs for laundry, food, pedicab were very reasonable. So reasonable that our fare of 600 php from the port to Dauin. The pedicab who took my cousin and his partner from Manila tried to charge them 1200 PHP or double the cost. It's ridiculous. We trusted their pedicab driver so much. We asked them to take my cousin to the port even if they were staying in a different hotel. You won't regret choosing this place. It's kind of funny how their instructors were all just here on vacation and somehow. They never wanted to leave so they end up working there. Also, their staff followed them even from where the couple originally worked.

This was an amazing spot. The bamboo villas were beautiful with amazing views. At the end of their private dock, there is an amazing reef to snorkel. I'd say this reef was a equally impressive if not better than Apo island. I spent many hours snorkeling there. The food selection was enormous and of high quality, it was delicious. Very quiet and private. A great place to relax.

The apartment has a hot tub and full-day security. The location was great, property was even better than expected, simple check-in and out, owner was friendly and helpful. Kitchen was set up for long stays. Excellent value. This is an excellent option if you want to stay in the area, but transportation, or arraignment should be considered.

Just a perfect place to stay near the beach, newly built and very authentic, the host Brigitte, is a wonderful kind and helpful lady. We really enjoyed our day and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

The place is modest but turned out to be very comfortable for us. It had everything we needed. The beds where comfortable and the Kitchen well stocked. Aircon worked good. TV was good. Hot water all around. Overall a comfortable two nights. Would come again.
