When facing up river, if you go to the right hand side and walk down the pebble beach to the shore, you get an amazing view!!

One thing you should know: do some proper supermarket shopping on your way 'home'. Waste of time to drive 10+ km for just a box of eggs. But don't worry about drinking water and ice; this is available in the house.

It was really comfortable, having 2 sofas for our family of 4. It was exceptionally clean, a lovely bathroom with very powerful shower. We were particularly grateful for the house having both a washing machine and tumble drier. Kitchen facilities were adequate & had a good size fridge and freezer. The tatami mats in the 2 bedrooms made it a truly Japanese experience. It was also wonderful to be able to sit out in the small garden area in the cooler evening. If you stay here, you have to go to the local onsen - this was a highlight of our trip. Takayama as a town is well worth a visit & our stay in Komorebi was truly memorable.
