Situated in San Juan La Laguna and with Volcano Atitlan reachable within 25 km, Chirris Hostel features a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. Some units at the property have a patio with a mountain view. I liked everything - the location cannot be better, it's ten seconds away from auto stand, from the stop where chicken buses to San Pedro, San Peublo, Santa Clara pass and stop, one minute away from Central Park, one minute from market, five minutes from boat pier, two minutes away from where the bus from Antigua stops in San Juan. Plus, the best road in San Juan with beautiful lighting with umbrellas is one minute away. All in all, it's the best location in San Juan. Yet it's so quiet. Internet is excellent, my room was big and clean, staff were very sweet and helpful. Washroom is always clean, bathroom has good hot showers, kitchen is very clean with adequate utensils. There's lots of drinking water for refilling Best part of all is Andrea, the hostess, she helped me book the direct bus from Antigua to San Juan. The travel agents in Antigua only offer buses to Panajachel. It's quite a pain to have to then take a boat to San Juan with luggage. The bus that Andrea booked for me picked me up at Antigua from near, my hostel there and dropped me a few minutes away from Chirris hostel. The hostel felt perfectly safe throughout, Andrea guided me for things to do, how to do Indian nose hike on my own using public transport and even helped to book my bus from the hostel to Guatemala airport. I liked the hostel so much I extended my stay by two more days. There is a refrigerator available for use and a stove where it's possible to cook. I visited San Pedro, San Marcos and Panajachel and I found San Juan had the best vibe. And because of proximity of the hostel to the boat pier, the auto stop and bus stop, it was quite easy for me to travel to other villages from here.

At the accommodation rooms are fitted with bed linen and towels. We loved everything, El Picnic is a little piece of paradise on Lake Atitlan. The location is incredibly peaceful with panoramic views of the lake and volcanoes. The tent was the perfect balance of luxury, comfort and outdoor living. Gaby and Jochen are excellent hosts and the food was incredible, the cocktails were brilliant too. We got a tuktuk to and from the pier arranged by Gaby and we were glad we did it would have been an interesting walk with our bags! We wished we had booked for longer, one night wasn't enough. We did actually try to book again a night after we left but they were fully booked, which was no surprise!

Accessed only by boat from Panajachel, the apartments at Atitlan Sunset Lodge Apartments come with a large seating area, plus a dining table and a private terrace with lake views. The private bathrooms are equipped with a shower and toilet. We had a wonderful stay in Atitlan Sunset Lodge. The view is spectacular, the rooms are super comfortable, and we had a lot of fun enjoying the lake with the stand up and kayak that they offer.

The apartment was in a great location and super clean. We could walk everywhere, including the dock, restaurants, and shops. Communication with the host was also quick and easy.

This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Spacious and plenty of room for the 3 of us. Location provides great views of volcano, along with the villages of San Juan and San Pedro. Always a welcome oasis to return to this retreat home after a day out exploring. We would find a different place to enjoy on the property. Very well taken care of and has everything you need.

Amazing view of the lake, safe (albeit lively - bring ear plugs) neighborhood, very well equipped apartment with fully stocked kitchen (even had oil and salt), extremely clean and comfortable bed and mattresses, very convenient location that was walking distance to the piers, restaurants, and tour agencies/hotels that you can book activities with. The host was very kind and polite, and recommended very well priced food, transportation and tour options. The host was also accommodating in allowing the guest to leave luggage in the apartment before and after check in and check out times.

One of the best places I ever stayed! It is just incredibly amazing! It’s a million times better than the pictures!!! Lee and his wife were the kindest! The kitchen has everything you need! The place is peaceful and charming! I will definitely come back!
