Originally a cattle drover’s inn, this Highland hotel lies just over 30 miles from the pretty town of Inveraray and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The port of Oban is approximately 30 minutes drive and ideal to enjoy for a day out. Not quite sure why this is just a 3*** Hotel. It was simply amazing. The food was exceptionally good. If someone from Guide Michelin reads this, make sure you dine at Taychreggan :)

Rooms at Loch Melfort Hotel have views, and some have patio doors and a terrace. Some of the rooms are dog friendly. WOW! The room was extremely comfortable with stunning views. We had dinner and a breakfast package. The food exceeded our expectations.

The place is very well kept and up to date with everything you need. It is very well equipped and the rooms are big enough for the people staying there. Did not use the TV, but i would assume that it is very good too. Parking was very close which is very convenient.
