Kilchrenan
Originally a cattle drover’s inn, this Highland hotel lies just over 30 miles from the pretty town of Inveraray and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The port of Oban is approximately 30 minutes drive and ideal to enjoy for a day out. Not quite sure why this is just a 3*** Hotel. It was simply amazing. The food was exceptionally good. If someone from Guide Michelin reads this, make sure you dine at Taychreggan :)
Balloch
Surrounded by woodland and pretty grounds, each pet-friendly Auchendennan Farm Cottage offers full Sky TV and Egyptian cotton bedding, along with towels, heating, and electricity. Some cottages also include a wood burning stove. Some properties boast a private hot tub and a sauna. Absolutely loved the simple easy check in process. The cottage had big size rooms and bathroom. It was clean and well kept. The patio was the best addition. Over all it was peaceful and well maintained.
Balloch
On the edge of Loch Lomond and a 30-minute drive from Glasgow and its airport, this 4-star guest house has hearty Scottish breakfasts and free Wi-Fi.
Traditionally decorated, the bedrooms at Gowanlea Guest House all feature a flat-screen TV and free toiletries. Guests can also enjoy tea/coffee making facilities.
The room is very nice and clean. The bed is very comfortable.

The location is the best you can find with an amazing ocean view. The staff were really kind and the service was great. You must go there 😍

Did not use the TV, but i would assume that it is very good too. Parking was very close which is very convenient.

There is a private entrance at the campground for the convenience of those who stay. Breakfast was lovely. Very dog friendly, loved the dog walking routes suggested. Lovely touch to have a bowl of dog treats in the room on arrival.
The location of this hotel is 2nd to none. Right on the banks of the loch. The rooms are a little dated and could do with modernisation but were clean and cosy enough. Although the very squeaky floorboards from the upprooms were annoying. For those with dogs it's a pet friendly hotel which is great.
Pet-friendly room - dog bed and dog bowls were made available. The annex and the grounds made it easy to accommodate the dog without disturbing other guests.
The location is great. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff are lovely & helpful, and the breakfast was fab! The only downside is it’s supposed to be a pet friendly hotel, but you can only take your dog in your room. It’s a shame you can’t take it in the bar and eat your breakfast, it’s understandable that it’s not allowed in the restaurant…
The property was in excellent condition in a lovely location. There were 8 of us & the whole place was very comfortable for us. We also had a dog there all weekend, very pet friendly. It was also very easy to communicate with the owner & the staff were all very friendly.
This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast options were varied and something to suit every taste. Dinners in the bar area were tasty and the menu was adequate. Staff were very friendly and super helpful. It was a great location for us but we did have a car to get around. Must love dogs as it is a dog friendly establishment and quite a few travellers had their pets with them.

Great location for the ferry and a perfectly comfortable spot to have as a homebase while on the island. We weren't traveling with a dog, but they seem super dog friendly (had dog beds and water bowls in the lounges).
Lovely accommodation, clean, very homely and most importantly pet friendly. Lovely place to stay kept questioning myself as to if they were dog friendly as don't normally stay in places as nice as this with my dog. Only reason I didn't rate staff is because I never actually saw anyone. The check in is all via codes and email communication. Communication however is exactly as they said it would be at each correspondence.
