Situated in Aird Uig, 36 km from Callanish Standing Stones, SEAcroft Licensed B&B and Restaurant features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a bar. The property features garden views. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Very lovely seapods where you can drift to sleep to the sound of the waves against the shore and cliffside, and see wildlife like deer right at your doorstep (if you’re lucky). The seapod had everything we needed and was so cosy. There was a very strong sense of community where ingredients for dinner were sourced from the island itself, with some grown at their own croft, and others like scallops handpicked in partnership with the local divers - therefore all very fresh. The best part of our stay was, without a shadow of doubt, Sarah - the most friendly, helpful, funny host. She made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped into the dining area, shared with us so much knowledge and tidbits about the island, and when I stupidly left some personal items back at the property, she was so responsive, assuring and meticulous to get them back safely to me. The experience staying with SEAcroft was sublime, and worth every penny and car mileage.

Our host, Helen, was friendly and accommodating and helped us out with a difficult situation. Breakfasts were excellent and Helen served us one of the best dinners we’ve had in Scotland.

Set in Valtos and only 600 metres from Cliff Beach, Cliff Cottage offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The holiday home, set in a building dating from 1933, is 600 metres from Traigh Bhorgaidh Beach and 2.5 km from Reef Beach. Outdoor dining is also possible at the holiday home. Perfect cottage by the sea. The cottage is beautifully presented and comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed for our stay, truly making it a home away from home. It was exceptionally clean and airy, and the beds were so comfortable to sleep in. Our host Marie was lovely to deal with from booking to departure and the guest guide is extremely comprehensive, and we loved the welcome basket left for us. The internet was excellent as our speed test showed over 206MB download and 17.5 upload (better than we have at home). The cottage is just a few minutes walk to the beach and is perfect as a base for exploring (although a car is definitely needed for travelling about on the island). The village itself is so peaceful and the local shop/fuel station (which has everything you need) and café and restaurant are only a few miles away. We were told that the rear garden area is not as far on as the host would have liked, but it is a perfect sun spot to sit out at and we noticed more flowers making an appearance each day – there are also a number of different seating areas to choose from around the cottage too. The other croft garden areas we were told will be brought back to life in the near future, and we hope to return and stay again next year to see their progress.
