The Mason Arms is located on Devon’s Jurassic Coast, just a 10-minute walk from Branscombe Beach. Dating back to the 14th-century, this property offers an award-winning restaurant, locally brewed ales and free parking. Our 10/10 stay at this place started the night we arrived. After a somewhat harrowing drive in the dark/rain/fog down a tiny road we were exhausted. The lovely man (Dan who it turns out was just filling in but did a bang up job) at the check in just took us straight to our (out of this world) room and said "Check in in the morning, no problem" and handed us a pot of cream (... this is for your coffee/tea). The room itself was huge and gorgeous with a full sitting room area, mini kitchen and a giant king sized bed that was so comfortable I would still be there if I could. The bathroom had a great shower and a giant bath tub. We stumbled across to the pub and (although it was past kitchen closing) the chef made us a lovely salmon dinner. Things just got better from there - gorgeous full breakfasts, lovely dinners, kind and caring staff EVERYWHERE. The town is tiny but stunning with plenty of interesting historical buildings and great hikes both around the area and over to the next town (charmingly called Beer). Thank you to Dan, Sophie, Connor and Hannah for making our stay so incredibly special.

Set within 30 km of Monkey World and 45 km of Corfe Castle in Dorchester, Gaggle of Geese Pub - Shepherd Huts & Bell Tents offers accommodation with seating area. There is a private entrance at the country house for the convenience of those who stay. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. A great week-end drinking, eating and chilling. Very attentive staff. Nice selection of meals offered. We loved the shepherd's hut and it was in our own secluded spot. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit watching the stars after dark. Our dog also enjoyed himself. Such a dog-friendly place.
