I don’t even know where to begin. Lizi and her family were the most wonderful hosts. So warm and friendly and responsive to our questions. She told me all the best places to go for antique shopping and hiking to the channel. And the cottage was newly renovated and exquisite in every detail. From the large, newly built wardrobe to the medallions and light fixtures on the ceilings to the beautiful lighting in the kitchen. Even the path to the hot tub was magical. Lizi even had homemade bread and eggs and milk for us. We will never forget you. You made so many memories for us in 48 short hours. Come to Texas and I’ll roll out the red carpet for YOU next time. Maria and Clive have put a lot of effort into the property over the last years to bring it all together beautifully Their attention to their guests is unsurpassed. In addition to their fabulous - and huge - breakfasts, they have recently started doing evening meals - head & shoulders above any other local eatery.

Coffee and tea making facilities were included as well as a welcome treat of scones with clotted cream for my wife and a gluten-free flapjack for me. Steve and Becky were wonderful hosts and served an exceptionally good breakfast cooked to order each morning. They took great care to ensure my celiac needs were taken care of. They really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. My only regret was not packing swim trunks to enjoy their hot tub.

The nearest airport is Exeter International Airport, 52 km from The Bull Inn. I stayed in the single room, which could have been an afterthought, but I felt it was really well laid out and appointed. I appreciate the ethics of the business. All the staff I met were super nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Great location also. Thought it might be noisy, from the pub, but it was just fine.
