The contact person was easy to reach. It was super nice to swim in the lake after sauna. The pictures give a real picture of the house, extra plus for that.

Private parking is for free. .My room was brilliant . It was big, had a table and 2 dining chairs a fridge microwave and coffee making facilities. The wi fi was great. The shared bathroom was convenient clean and well provisioned. The lady who runs it, Pia was brilliant communication was great she makes herself at your service, perfect. I'm sure its Pia's personal touch that makes this place so great.

Haapala has its own brewery together with the restaurant. The restaurant offers seasonal delicacies from local products with a twist. Breakfast is available daily, and includes buffet, vegetarian and gluten-free options. The room was nice and clean, very scandinavian style and it was good that you could drive your car in front of the cottage to unload packages. The traditional wooden sauna in the evening was lovely.

Offering free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking apartment has a sauna. Enormous apartment! When we walked in we thought it was the reception to the building (as it's on the ground floor and has something of a feeling of a shop with the floor to ceiling windows etc), however very quickly realised it was indeed the actual apartment. Spotlessly clean, and felt luxurious to only have 2 of us staying when the apartment could quite comfortably sleep 6. Entry was very easy with the code provided, and parking is available just over the road in the small car park behind the K-Market. Would highly recommend for a trip to Savonlinna as it's in an incredible location just 5 minutes walk from Olavinlinna and the lakeside, but also easily accessible from the road.
