Canl Grande Lodge is a very cozy hotel not far from San Josè International Airport, immersed in nature. The staff was utmost kind and helpful in assisting me since my luggages weren't loaded on the flight and I didn't have anything with me, apart from a little bag. The hotel provided me with basic stuffs in a stressful moment for me. Breakfast was very good, definitely to come and stay more nights in this hotel. The cleanliness of the room and the transfer service from the airport arranged by the hotel were very appreciated.

Dinner was also very good and prices were reasonable. The uphill climb on their trail is worth it, especially if you can make it to their Cypress Forest!

The gardens are stunning, something beautiful around each curve. The proprietors are some of the nicest people I have met. their restaurant is charming, food is good, especially the Aguas Frescas- the best! The cabin is sweet. I felt like I was in paradise!

Ester`s Place in Escazù. provides accommodation with, a garden and a terrace. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Ester was so welcoming and the hospitality was amazingly good. I will be booking with her again on my future trips to Costa Rica.
