The menus were only in German, but that wasn't an issue as some spoke English. Breakfast was basic but plentiful: with breads, jams, cheese & eggs at your disposal. Room: Scandinavian chic comes to mind. Decor is simple but works well as the natural outdoor scenery shines bright.

Clean, comfortable and warm, even though it was less than 5 degrees Celsius outside (mix of wooden stove and electric heater). The view was breathtaking and the only sounds are the nearby river, the birds and the bells from sheep. The hosts were simply amazing and Ploy's Thai food is a must-get. Extra surprise: their playful dog, Luna :) Thank you so much Franz and Ploy for your hospitality! We will definitely come back again!

This mountain accommodation is set in a car-free zone at an altitude of 1,450 metres above Altdorf and Flüelen. Berggasthaus Eggberge can only be reached by cable car. It takes 9 minutes to reach the accommodation from Fluelen cable car station, where cars can be parked. exceptional location (although likely not for everyone) above the valley near Lake Lucerne. The views are amazing. Good was great including breakfast..
