Located at 2108 metres above sea level on the Gotthard Pass, Albergo San Gottardo consists of a historic, protected hospice building from 1237 and a hotel.

Rooms in the hospice building were renovated in 2010 and feature a private bathroom. The basic rooms at the hotel have shared bathroom facilities. The staff were incredibly helpful, staying up particularly late upon my late arrival. Breakfast was also great!
