Great historic Inn with British influence evident. Dinner was wonderful. An employee named Damont (?) went of his way to share the history of the area and point us to a Julia Morgan designed home.

When I travel I just need a place to sleep, a bed. It was in a good location which I look for when traveling. Another thing I look for is location of eating establishments close by. The restaurant was right next door.
The historical history of the hotel was really interesting. The desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant was fantastic for both dinner and breakfast. Beautiful location!
This motel is in a great location along the 101. Garberville is a quaint little town worth your time to explore its Main Street shops and, especially, the bakery.
I liked having an inn at that location so I could split the driving distance. I got the room for a good price. I especially liked that windows open. The custodian was very helpful as there were no directions how to use the air/heat system and the room was hot when I got there. I used their wifi to watch a movie on my iPad. They charge for private wifi. Lovely patio for breakfast. I was able to get one of the handicapped parking dspots next to the entrance. Otherwise a walk up that hill would have been difficult for me.
We traveled with a small dog. The dog friendly rooms are at the main garden level with their own patio area. Very lovely, private, and easy to attend to doggie needs. The garden area along the river is lovely with tall shady trees - which was important given that the ambient temp was 100 at the time. Room was large and comfortable and air conditioned. Hotel in general is well maintained and very pretty.
They had a wine/cheese hour from 5-7pm which was a welcome surprise. The breakfast spread was pretty decent. Bed was comfortable and most of all they are pet-friendly with no extra charge for the pet.
