I was on a solo cycling trip across the USA and needed a cheap hotel (2star) to match my budget. I had stayed in a few and knew what to expect …. Or so I thought … this hotel was by far the best ‘cheap hotel’ I had stayed in on my 1200 mile cycling trip and better, by far.
I even had to ask the owner why it was only 2 Star !!
The room was spotless and comfortable and not worn out and tired like other cheap hotels.
There was even a pool and breakfast was substantial and good.
I’ve given this hotel a 10 rating because it was such a surprise to get such value and the staff were polite and efficient.
Thank you for a great nights sleep, a hot bath and clean facilities 🙏

Definitely an older hotel and some age was very evident in the broken A/C for the breakfast area, broken ice machines on several floors, but the the ambiance is still beautiful and it suited our needs fine for a one-day bicycle ride.

The breakfast was very good. We only tried the eggs, bacon and toast with grits this time. The owners offered many other choices. I would definitely go back.

Pretty run down. Floors are filthy! Chincy amenities. Quiet, good location. Overpriced for the value. Staff was friendly, for the most part. Room is uncomfortable - HARD bed, uncomfortable chairs, tile floors with no carpeting. Has a microwave & mini-fridge with is convenient.
The room was comfortable, some may call it outdated but I liked it! They are dog friendly. The pool is handicapped accessible, you just have to ask the front desk to have maintenance put the battery in the unit. My husband liked the free breakfast, I don’t eat breakfast.
The location is great. Downtown is within walking distance. A lot of restaurant choices. Buffalo Trace is only a few minutes away. Pet friendly and lots of grass to walk your pup. Rooms are spacious. Parking in in a garage across the street, free.
