This is a lovely property built before the Civil War and carefully maintained. My bathroom had been updated to modern conveniences. Otherwise, it’s still in an original looking state with. Furniture carpeting and decoration. The breakfast included was wonderful and I highly recommend that you stay here for a visit to Ferndale.

    Great location and easy to find. Walking distance to the town of Ferndale. It was raining when we were there so we didn’t walk around the gardens but it looked really nice. Bed was very comfortable.

    The hotel was immaculate and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and catered to our needs (one vegetarian). It was the most special place that we’ve ever stayed and we will 100% be back in the future!

    Shaw House Inn was quiet and clean with friendly staff. Location was excellent. We stayed in Betty’s room. It was small and cozy. The bed and linens were comfortable and clean. The claw foot tub was very relaxing. We spent sometime in the parlor downstairs doing some work. Breakfast was great and each evening there were a few cookies left out. It was a really nice touch. I would definitely stay again the next time I visit Ferndale.

    The location is good, the staff was friendly and the room was clean. My 11 yr old granddaughter got a kick out of it. She had never stayed in an historical building before. It was a fun experience for her. Overall it's a beautiful hotel and the rooms are nicely decorated.

    Paula was so great and welcoming when checking in, even made our dogs comfortable with treats and a towel. Nicole’s breakfast and kindness in the morning was wonderful! Will definitely be back. Thank you

    Beautiful grounds. The best property in town. Excellent location to walk and explore Ferndale. Exceptional service, the breakfast and coffee and cookies were a delight. The pet friends room and access to the gardens was perfect

    Shaw House is in a wonderful location in Ferndale. Walking distance to restaurants which is nice and the setting is beautiful (though the garden isn’t maintained). Dog friendly is a plus.
