    The house was gorgeous, everything was clean and well maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable. I stayed here to visit family in Appomattox and the common rooms were perfect for spending time with them while I was there. Everything about our stay was communicated well, and everyone we met was very friendly.

    The location is perfect for those visiting Appomattox. After a short tour of the surrender site, I ran out of time to see everything. The young man at the tour desk told me I could park at the Confederate cemetery and walk down to the park. I left to go check in at the Appomattox Inn and then made the short, less than 5 minute drive back to the park. There isn't anything within walking distance to the Inn, but plenty of restaurants and a Walmart 5 to 7 minutes away.

    Great location to stores and places to eat. The Appomattox heritage hiking and recreation trail are directly behind the hotel which was very convenient to walk my dog.

    Staff was Excellent. Friendly and competent. Location was ideal, on the same road as attractions, within a half mile. Beds and linens were nice. Breakfast buffet was on the high side of 'typical.'
