Beautiful heritage building, tastefully renovated. We loved the location in one of the most beautiful streets of the medina, little coffee shops right next to it and close to the markets. The staff were very friendly and helped us arrange anything we needed from tables at bars to transport to our next destination. We were very touched when they left us their card telling us we can get in Touch if we happen to need anything throughout our travels in Tunisia. Also, we loved the olive oil soap in the bathroom.

The hotel was indescribably beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. The rooftop lounge is beautiful, and the hotel is near the beach. The breakfast was also delicious, with a variety of dips and spreads, eggs, meat, veggies, fruit, bread and yogurt. And of course coffee & juice.

Right in the middle of the Carthage attractions (which are scattered over several sites), the location could not be better. It is quiet and safe, has excellent wifi and a/c. The kitchen was well equipped, with thoughtful and useful items. There is a table inside, and better still one in the small quiet courtyard area. The hosts were welcoming and accepted payment in mixed currencies (useful when we were about to leave the country). Easy street parking. Good breakfast served at the time of your choice (8 a.m. for us, it gets hotter later). All this for a very low price.

A recently renovated property, Sunset Sidi Bousaïd is situated in Sidi Bou Saïd near Amilcar Beach, Sidi Bou Said Beach and Corniche Beach.

My homestay hosts were very kind, generous and flexible, and over the week I had plenty of time to get to know them personally. We spent time over a good breakfast of eggs, pastries, bread and coffee, to sit and talk for a while - for a solo traveller this is much more interesting than just grabbing a croissant and sitting alone in a hotel lobby! They also respected privacy and my own schedule. My room was of a decent size and much expanded by the generous terrace, which is great to relax in during early morning, and in the evenings. I was able to spend time in the common areas as if it were my own home too.
