We stayed only one night at Rey Guest House with Alexandra and we highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment in Tomar to rent this one. It's big, clean, well decorated, has A/C, well furnished (stove, oven, washing machine), has a nice view and is a 10 minutes walk to downtown Tomar. Our only regret is not staying longer! convenient check-in, responsive and helpful host, central location but very quiet, clean, modern, very nice large sunny balcony with views, comfortable bed with firm (but not too firm) king mattress, large bathroom and shower with great water pressure, bidet, permanent units in living room and bedroom for heating and air conditioning (it was cold even in early April!), overall, a very comfortable place to stay

Huge home with several private rooms on a huge property in the countryside, 20 minutes by car from Tomar. More like a B&B than a hotel. Host is a lovely lady who goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant, right down to allowing us to leave our dog in the room even though we told her he might cry. Spotlessly clean with screens on the windows so you can sleep with them open and enjoy the fresh country air. Lovely varied breakfast, including eggs, which is so appreciated by North Americans. There’s even a pool. totally worth the drive to the city.

The house is bigger and better than the photos. The big living room was our favorite place to hang out with lots of light and windows to the swimming pool. The outside area was a little green heaven, entirely fenced (great for whom brings pets), it had BBQ facilities, hammock beds, sun loungers, and the pool that was sun bathed the entire day (unfortunately due to the weather being cold we were unable to enjoy it). The house is somewhat isolated and car is needed, however in about 10mins one reaches the city of Tomar which has everything. For those who plan longer stays the kitchen is well equipped and there is a dishwasher and laundry machine. The house owner Elizete was always available and quickly responded to any of our questions, also gave us a lot of information to help improving our stay.
