The apartment had more than enough of everything. The private pantry was well-stocked with all the utensils you may need (even incl. a mini-oven), plenty towels in the bathroom – nothing was missing. There is a communal kitchen with everything except a frying pan (very minor point) and a snall pool right outside. Check-in instructions were very easy to follow, the owner of the property was very helpful and easy to reach.

Mesao is like a home away from home in the Douro Valley. The hosts Jet and Ron are so nice and caring and the house is charmfull and cosy with a breathtaking view and a beautiful garden. So relaxing! A real highlight was a delicious dinner with wine tasting in the terrace.

The location is excellent! Heart of the Douro valley! This hotel is a jewel that will make you feel you've travelled back in time and yet at the same time you don't feel like you're in a museum where you're afraid to touch anything as it may fall apart. The staff were competent, rooms luxurious, restaurant worth a visit. Breakfast was also very good.

We stayed on the ground floor, and were pleasantly surprised by the size, and presentation of our room. The view from our 'terrace', the 'pool' and the breakfast room was beautiful - probably the nicest in all of Pinhao! The location is also ideal if you don't mind a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of Pinhao - although I wouldn't recommend the route for young families as the start of the walk is along the roadside. There is also a gorgeous HUGE dog who lives on site - a gentle giant :)
The location is great. Wonderful view on the hills. The rooms are large, the kitchen very well equipped. The landlady was very nice and made our laundry. Animals lovers will like the friendly cat and the small dog who like to hang around. Sitting outside looking at the sunset was very nice.
We had a room on the first floor with an outside terrace attached that looked out at the magnificent vineyards across the river. The room had a traditional but sophisticated feel to it. The grounds around the hotel were stunning and picturesque. The breakfast was top notch with offerings for all types of appetites!
isabela was a wonderful host and helped me bring my luggage up the stairs and show me around. She was so warm and inviting. the location can’t be beat so close to the train station and it was nice to have a glass of port and fresh fruit waiting for me. my kids loved having the dogs and cats around to pet.
A beautiful location close to Pinhão. The views are great. The hostess is very nice. She greeted us with wine, bread and sardines. And she did laundry for us. The cat and the dog are very friendly.
