The bed was really comfy, clean and spacious fabulous outlook towards the sea. I loved being able to have my dog with us and wake up and head to the beach and watch the sunrise each morning.

Stella the Excella is a fabulous base in Russell. We loved the quirkiness of the trailer and all the retro facilities and colours - you really feel you're back in the 50s. The bed was very comfortable and the separate bathroom was more than adequate. The outside decking was spacious and a great place to sit back and relax and if you're lucky (as we were) spot kiwi in the garden below. The centre of Russell is about a 15/20 minute walk away though we were lazy and took the car as the trailer is situated at the top of a steep hill. We spent five weeks in NZ and Stella was definitely in the Top 3 of the places we stayed.

Peaceful and quiet location. The view was amazing and we enjoyed the stroll down through the native forest to the waters edge.
Breakfast was amazing and the host was great. Loved the chickens coming to visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful getaway.
The location is stunning : high up in the wetlands, the view is exceptional - you won't want to leave!
The bauch itself is very cosy and well-equipped. There is a little kitchenette to cook your own meals (useful as the place is quite remote).
The host, Elisabeth, is very welcoming, kind, and cooks some delicious breakfasts.
The home cooked breakfast was excellent as was the location.
