Amy and Jason are the most thoughtful, generous hosts and consider every detail to make the experience special for their guests - arriving home to incredible views, a freshly stoked hot tub and fire, thoughtfully curated playlists, and a very comfortable night sleep was above and beyond what we could have asked for. The location is perfect - with nearby Twizel and an easy, beautiful drive up to Aoraki (Mount Cook) - but we mostly wanted to stay in the cottage and chill for a while! We stayed there one night to break the long trip from Queenstown to Christchurch. It was a very comfortable place and it was very close to restaurants in the town center. The house would also be a great place for a longer stay and for a larger group, since it had three bedrooms, two baths (one full and one partial), a nice living and dining area, and a well appointed kitchen. The villa was much nicer than I anticipated, with its own private hot tub (maybe I missed it on the booking page, but I was pleasantly surprised). The grounds are very beautiful and you can take a walk through the woods to get to a view point for the lake.
