WE loved the unique character and history of the building, and we really enjoyed meeting our three hosts -
Geoff ( the human), Ginge ( the cat), and Rufus (the dog), all of whom were very friendly, hospitable and attentive.
We are now working on an excuse to come back.
I didn’t have the breakfast. The space was listed as off the grid and it was. Solar power , gas cooker to make cup of tea. I thourghly enjoyed my stay at Grand dads. Friendly warm hosts. Liked that it was pet friendly
I have never stayed in a house with such character! I only wished I could have stayed longer. I brought my pouch along and he became fast friends with Rufus (the hosts' pet dog). Geoff is such a great host and the brekkie he made was awesome! Thanks so much for the hospitality! I hope to return with friends in the future.
Wonderful, warm and interesting place to stay. Geoff was welcoming and helpful and his fabulous cooked breakfast was muchly appreciated in a chilly winter's day. Wonderful artwork everywhere and beds were super comfy. Loved the sitting room with a cosy fire. Teenagers made use of school playground opposite to let off some steam after being cooped up in a car. Super sweet dog and cats. Would absolutely recommend.
The place to visit if you like friedensreich hundertwasser as this place is the hunderwasser of accommodation.
Pets are allowed and was able to bring our cat 🐈
