A secluded oasis, surrounded by gorgeous gardens and only a very short drive to town/grocery store/penguin viewing. Host Rebecca was lovey and her communication was excellent. Very Spacious, pet friendly, clean, tidy. Great price for size and location, Just minutes to Omaru township.
Would have been nice to have some cooking items a pan, couple utensils and a hotplate. We had a microwave and glass bowel with lid, plates, bowls, cups and knives, forks spoons. I managed to make something using google. Beds were firm and comfy. :)
The hotel was equal distance between Kakanui Beach and Oamaru, which was perfect for us. The rooms were nice and big for us and our 3 children, and the beds comfy. Kids enjoyed exploring the extensive grounds and abandoned old parts of the old school. Pet friendly too, which meant our dog could come was a big bonus.
lovely big rooms, wonderful outside space so we could walk around the grounds, the manager was amazing, he showed us around and spoke to us about the history of the place. The place is pet friendly so we may return so with our dog next time.
