The location in the mountains was excellent. The hut was exactly what I expected for a one night stay. It was quiet and I had a good night's sleep. I could park my motorcycle next to the hut. The toilet block with showers was nearby. There was plenty of hot water. I was able to have basic hot food at reception (chicken and chips) and use the free WiFi It was very quiet on the site and I had a good night's sleep.

It was so nice to have the water right behind the hotel and the little bridge out to the island. The hotel has a great location to get to other restaurants and some very nice shops. The food was wonderful and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel is in a great location, it's within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and nature. The Scandic Valdres has the best hotel breakfast I had in Norway.
