The accommodation was clean spacious, and well-furnished with a lot of kitchen appliances and utensils. The owners even turned the heating on in our rooms prior to our arrival, which we very much appreciated since it was already cold outside.

Second time at this hotel and hopefully not the last. Love the historic atmosphere and views. Stayed in an alp suite which was beautifully decorated with lots of seating space and very quiet. Great hikes direct from hotel including to a fabulous waterfall.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The accomodation is clean and beds are comfortable. Great location- Bessengen hike start point is only 5-6 km away. We enjoyed the dinner buffet with goodies. They have an excellent cook.
Stayed prior to hiking Bessegan and was a perfect place for that. Easy access next morning to lot/ferry dock. Staff was communicative and helpful in accommodating our arrival time the previous night.
The location of the cabin is amazing, it is inside the park and the hiking trails start directly from there (the famous Besseggen ridge is very close as well). The cabin was very spacious and clean, there is a small table in front with the view of the river.
The staff was very helpful in giving us advices for hiking trails and motor roads.
extremely nice staff that helped out to find the nearest medical facility, bus timetables, hike recommendations.
They also gave us a lift to Gjendesheim when we needed to catch the bus for Oslo.
