Amazing experience. After a long drive we were met with a warm welcome, glasses of cold juice, and a pre-air-conditioned room with a lovely smell. The room had everything to make you feel at home: tasteful decor, comfortable beds, AC, plenty of storage space, a bright portable lamp to get you through brief power cuts was a lovely touch. Everything’s VERY clean. Any questions/issues were resolved momentarily. Special mention goes to breakfast - BEST breakfast you can get on this island. Absolutely everything. This was the most st wonderful place; quite magical. The gardens have beautiful trees to keep you shaded if you’re on a lounger and the veranda is all a pretty special place to eat the best breakfast in the whole of Sri Lanka or just chill on a planter seat. The rooms are spacious and cool and the bed fit for a princess (or prince). I could go on and on but most importantly, the staff; they are the friendliest people you’ll meet and super efficient. The very best.

This is a nice new place. Its run by a friendly family. We stayed for 3 nights. Keep in mind it is up hill if that is a Problem for you. Most of all we liked the peace you get there. The sunset is amazing. They have a bar and you can order food as well. They arranged us a whale watching trip for 12000rp per person. I think the price is very good. If you book online you will pay 30% more. They also provide laundry service. If you like chitchatting the owner likes to chat. We really became friends in 3 days. If we ever visit srilanka again we are comming back here to visit the family.

It should be a really long list:) I stayed there for a month, working remotely and exploring the surroundings. The place is very clean, I could walk barefoot without any irritation. My room was cleaned and the linen was changed regularly. The hosts helped me with the laundry as well as with anything I might need. Me room was really good - spacious enough with a workspace, A/C, a wardrobe, big bathroom with hot water. What’s important- there were no mosquitoes in my room at all, no other bugs or animals, never. The homemade breakfasts were great- fresh fruit every day and some mix of local and European cuisine (I loved hoppers so much!). The garden is very beautiful, the location is perfect- not far from the beach, cafes, bus station, but very quiet. And the most important- the owners! It is a wonderful family which made me feel like home. I felt very comfortable and safe. They are very delicate and peaceful as well as helpful- mr. Sunil organized a whale watching trip for me and also joined me with their family on my trip to Udalawawe park. I had a wonderful chance to see the life of a local family and to feel as a part of it. I’m very grateful and will come again!

Staff very helpful, we were only here for one night and up and out early for whale watching but we're able to leave all our bags in the room, come back at lunchtime and shower up before hitting the road.
