A true local experience, not for everyone but if you are looking to find a place with no Tourist and experience local life this is great! The room is clean, very very simple, but it’s exactly how you see it in the photos! They explained to us the road to the water falls and in general our stay in Meemure was great! We also had lunch at their house! Thank you

Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

I don't know where to begin.. I came here for 1 night to hike, stayed 3 nights and didn't do a single hike. It was too good to stay with Nero's family, volunteer there and at the pre school, share meals, meditate, go for walks, play with the kids... I have never felt more at home in Sri Lanka than here. If you go there, take your time, help around, enjoy real kindness and sharing.

We loved the overall stay! There was a warm welcome. The view was amazing. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We appreciated the comfortable bed and the amenities. The breakfast was also appropriate for a yoga retreat. The kayaking added to the relaxing experience. We spent our honeymoon night there and it was beautifully set up. The bunch of flowers at the welcoming was definitely a sweet gesture which we appreciated a lot. Just what we needed that night :)
