We loved the location of Wanakaset Forest glamping right in the heart of the forest which afforded us amazing views of the hills from our balcony room. The food was plentiful and delicious and the ladies in the kitchen incredibly hospitable. We ventured out on a trek with Banda who was passionate and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. We would highly recommend a stay in this forest sanctuary.

Jungle Village Homestay is amidst thick dense forest and it is apt for people travelling to spend some quality time with nature. The homestay is surrounded by their farm and the owner's mother was very keen on explaining every crop and tree she grows there. I went with my mother and father and they were thrilled to see the enthusiasm of the host and this was our first day stay after we landed in lanka. truly a great way to start our Sri Lankan Trip. This location is perfectly nestled into the midst of the rainforest and is perfect for peace and tranquility, we arrived much to the surprise of the host due to us booking very last minute and the host not yet being updated by booking.com however that did not hinder his warm welcome and his keeness to ensure our happiness. He arranged a tuktuk to take us to a nearby waterfall and by the time we arrived back the room was all set up perfectly for us. We enjoyed sitting in the treehouse and were served a delicious authentic sri lankian meal followed by the most amazing night sitting under the fire flies listening to the thunder storm. The room was just what we hoped it would be, a calm jungle like experience. We will 100% visit again if we are ever back in this beautiful country.

The hotel is located in a fantastic spot with a stunning view, including the distant Ambuluwawa tower. We had planned to stay for one night but the peace, great atmosphere, and view made us extend our stay for a few more days. The pool with its captivating view was enjoyed by adults and children alike. We traveled by tuk-tuk, and our advice to others is to use this mode of transport but avoid driving up the hill to the hotel yourself. The hotel staff can help you arrange this service.
