I also really like the new spa like bathroom. Overall this was a great base for our family as we explored the Aokigahara forest and nearby lake area. After spending time in small hotel rooms in Tokyo, the space was appreciated. A very well appointed house that was also clean and well organised. The location is literally a calm and safe residential area. We visited early June and were unlucky in viewing Fuji. So the window view was a miss for us. But other than that this house is perfectly located to stunning nature spots all around that area. Just step outside the house and the mountains greet you. You will need a car though, not easily accessible through public transport.
Our stay here was wonderful! The place was clean and had so much charm. The hosts were very kind. The location was wonderful with a view of a Mt. FUJI and activities close by.
We loved being able to bring our dog here and enjoy a couple of quiet nights near all of the activities in Lake Kawaguchiko area. Even when the campsite was full, it was kept clean, quiet, and a great place to stay!
This is a great place if you have a car and go with your spouse or partner. The bus and train last time is 5:15. So you will be at trouble if you do not reach before that. But the owner offered us a ride to the cave. We liked it. Japanese style home stay. Very quiet, nice, near to the kawaguchiko and the caves. very nice location. If you want raw Japanese rural experience, this property is very good to stay.
This lodge is owned by a lovely sweet couple. We felt welcomed and had really genuine interactions with them using google translate to communicate. They recommended an onsen nearby that was exceptional. We also had breakfast both mornings at the lodge and it was very good with generous portions. Everything was perfect!! We recommend this place without hesitation.
