You could feel that the owner put some love into the place and our hostess Federica, who met us and showed us around, was delightful. it’s difficult to find affordable accommodation in cinque terre, however Hotel Meri is great in terms of value for money due to its breakfast (real coffee) and also it’s location being a few stops away from the super crowded towns of cinque terre Also one thing to take note would be to check with the information counter at framura train station for the shuttle bus timing to Costa. Without the shuttle bus it will be a 45 minutes hike up to the hotel which you should try at least once for the good views, but not all the time when you want to head back and rest

Lovely location up on the hill with a great view. That said, if you have luggage you have to arrive at a time when there is a bus. It‘s lots of stairs up the hill from the train. But stunningly beautiful, passing through an old village. Another lovely village is just a little further up the hill from the hostel. There are a couple of shops and a cafe there but opening times do not necessarily coincide with your stay.
