A unique rural & quite unusual 'Hotel' - It is not what I would call boutique but it is very comfortable with many historical features in the common areas and the room that we were in was great. The evening meal was prepared by the owner (4th generation in the family I believe) & was excellent & not expensive. Breakfast was perfect and again prepared by the owner. The grounds are wonderful and perfect for an afternoon or evening stroll & I understand the owner also runs an Equine centre adjacent so Horsey folks are well catered for.

The private gravelled garden was excellent for the dog. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The layout was good with the lounge/diner/kitchen upstairs and the bedrooms/bathroom downstairs.

The accessible wetroom was excellent and had all the mobility aids and grab handles one would expect. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Although our window faced the M4 we couldn't hear the traffic due to the tripple glasing. In addition, the staff were helpful and welcoming.

The Angel is in a great location. The disabled room (15) was spacious and the Manager, Aldo made sure there was a disabled chair in the bathroom for my husband to shower. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were lovely. A 14th century Inn with a fabulous beer garden. Food delicious. Lovely and quiet.
Everything was nice. Fine old establishment with landscaped gardens and lovely surroundings. Great location, near M4 motorway and main roads, with small town of Royal Wootton Bassett just down the road, with pubs, groceries...
Great stay for week of exploring Cotswolds, Bath, Bristol, Oxford. Room is freshly refurbished, soft carpet, nice furniture, could be bigger, but is really more than enough. Beds are soft and cosy, bathroom spacious and clean. Staff is helpful. Parking is free. Read some bad reviews, but couldn't agree with them.
The breakfast was really well prepared, tasty full English breakfast, which we very much enjoyed. The location of the hotel is very central, easy reach to shops and town centre. The staff was very friendly, very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Lot of locals visit the pub during the evenings, so we could have a little exprience of social life in the UK. Everyone was very open, very friendly to chat with us. Lot of guests brought their dogs with them, so we enjoyed the dog company as well.
The room was spacious with a very comfortable kingsize bed and large TV. The bathroom had a big walk-in shower and everything was spotlessley clean. The rooms were next door to the pub so you only had to walk a few yards for breakfast or other meals. Food was good. Lots of parking and very dog friendly - dogs were allowed in the bar area if you wanted to take them with you to eat. Lots of tables and chairs to sit outside as well. All was very good.
