I preferred not to be faced with a full English breakfast every morning. There was a reasonable selection of cereals, fruit, bread, etc.
Bathroom was large and the shower was powerful. Bed was comfortable.

The cleanliness and in particular the bed was extremely comfy, we had a room with shared bathroom which wasn't a put off because it was between 2 rooms, Dog friendly was a bonus, we have a very sensitive labrador that doesn't settle well in hotels etc but he obviously felt at ease as we did here, I think Imet the owners on my way in after taking the dog for a walk one day, hats off to them for making this a small business in a home that would probably have unoccupied rooms. Excellent idea
Location, pet friendly and no extra charges for a dog. Next door to fish and chips that you would not get to smell in a room. Nice bathroom and shower. Comfy bed and good size TV with Netflix. Free WiFi. Friendly staff. Free parking.
friendly staff, great location for travelling. lovely small bar which stays open till late. cozy atmosphere enjoying some wine with owners and other guests. pet friendly. Very clean and comfortable rooms.
Welcoming , comfortable and nice being able to get a meal and drinks on premises. Ideal location for local horse riding. Just 10 min drive to Ellesmere Riding Centre. Highly recommend, plus nice walks for my dog.
Very dog friendly, you can have your dog with you in the dining area.
Not only is the hotel centrally located, but Ian is an exceptional host. For a very reasonable price, my husband and I were treated to first class service. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and our room was very clean. For people travelling with a dog, this is literally the most dog-friendly hotel I have ever visited. Our greyhound was not just tolerated, but made welcome as well! The town and nearby walks are also beautiful. We have booked a return stay.
The free car park is about 5 mins walk away, but you can stop outside the property to unload/load the car. There are plenty of places to eat out, nearly all are dog friendly. The chemist, butcher and greengrocer are just around the corner, and the Co-op is less than 5 mins walk. We found the sofas and beds very comfortable. The property was extremely clean, unusually so for pet friendly accommodation. Fiona was incredibly helpful, and everyone we met was very friendly.
