Nothing to dislike. The first impression after checking in was the lounge/bar area. The view from there and from the outside terrace is stunning looking out across the sea. There are steps from the terrace all the way down to the beach although that part of the beach is about a 5-10 minute walk from main town beach.
Staff were exceptional. So friendly and welcoming. Every single one from reception, bar staff, restaurant team and even room service. Could not fault them.
We had breakfast and dinner every day and the quality of the food was excellent and not overpriced. Similarly, the service was superb. They are well enough staffed that you are never waiting for anything and all are helpful and polite.
Room was larger than I'd anticipated, very comfortable and clean with a small balcony, albeit overlooking the car park but it's so quiet there it really doesn't matter.
Car park gets a little bit busy at the end of the day and overnight but that didn't bother me because I only ever went out late morning and was back by 4 or 5 o'clock and there was plenty of availability.
Overall would highly recommend. Lovely location, very quiet, yet only a 5-10 minute walk into town. We will be going back.

Great location for our family. Packing space close and having a bus stop right outside was convenient for us. The flat was no frills but just tight for a couple of nights.

Such a great 5 day stay at Little Robin Gate. David & Pumpkin were so lovely & friendly & made our stay with our dog completely relaxed & amazing! The house & gardens are gorgeous & very dog safe. Tasty continental breakfast choices including fruit & croissants & a great coffee machine! Not forgetting a little sausage breakfast for Nelson! Very clean and tidy & everything on hand. David & Pumpkin could not have been anymore attentive with little cooked treats along the way! Only 15 minutes walk to Bournemouth Town Centre & pier. The train & bus station just a few minutes walk! We shall miss them both & will definitely stay again. We cannot recommend Little Robin Gate highly enough.

This is the second time we have visited - the location is ideal and we love the fact that it is pet friendly. The room has a fridge, kettle etc. Bed was comfy and the self check in instructions are easy. Loads of parking in the carpark opposite - can pay by an app for 24 hours etc.

Dog friendly too, the dog treats in our room were a lovely touch.
Although dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant area, staff are happy to bring breakfast to your room if your dog can't be left.

The location of the property was ok but the front door is located onto a very busy main road so not so good for puppies. The steps up to the garden were not very pleasant and our puppy was too afraid to use them. The interior of the cottage was dated and worn out. The sofa was even ripped open. It was not clean either. Dead spiders, flies, cobwebs and hanging loose wiring not exactly dog friendly or welcoming..
Despite concern that would not be “pet friendly” ( they need a pet friendly indoor area) the staff were welcoming of my very well behaved dog and treated her with extra sausages and treats! Easy access to dog friendly walks and beach too. Perfect position.

Perfect location for swanage beach and pier, plus we were allowed to bring our dog. So rare to find affordable pet friendly accommodation. We will DEFINITELY be booking again. Fab place.
