An ideal location in the centre of Long Melford, down a short private track to the off-road, allocated, safe, private parking. Very quiet and peaceful despite being so close to the town. Accommodation was much more spacious than expected with good quality furnishings, fixtures and fittings. Wonderful underfloor heating system. Superb power shower. Comfortable outdoor furniture. Lovely little garden to enjoy the late-summer sunshine. 5 mins walk to the local butcher, baker and Co-op. Lots of tea-rooms and pubs/restaurants nearby, also an excellent "chippy" at the end of the lane. Highly recommended.

Excellent check in, taken to the room, keys and doors explained including fire procedure.
Food was above average pub fare with fresh vegetables, I believe there is also a more substantial restaurant offering.
I’m sure breakfasts are equally good unfortunately I needed to be away early. Great service all round.
My four legged pal made welcome too.

The location is brilliant. Close to the town centre yet only a few steps from the vast expanse of the water meadows. Being common land the meadows are open to all. Ideal for walks, with or without dogs.
Dogs are welcomed in all areas of the hotel apart from restaurant. Breakfast can be taken in the bar area if you want to keep your dog with you at breakfast. Staff have always been very helpful when I have my dog with me.
Ideal location for a dog-friendly hotel. It's adjacent to Sudbury Water Meadows, a vast expanse of common land. The friendly and welcoming bar has in it the original water wheel still working, which makes quite a feature. Good range of food served throughout the day from breakfast, through brunch and evening meal. Dogs are not allowed in restaurant but staff are happy to serve my breakfast in the bar area so I could keep my dog with me.
Property was warm, welcoming, fantastic location for walking in to village to buy pastries for breakfast.

Most important to us it was dog friendly.
Room was clean and comfortable and shower room was a decent size. Location was quiet but central. I was able to bring my dog with me, which is essential. Room contained all necessary facilities for an overnight stay.
Great location. Lovely friendly atmosphere in public areas. Very dog friendly - bowl, treats and poo bags provided in room. Naturally dogs are not allowed in restaurant but staff happy to serve breakfast in the bar. Couldn't ask for more. Sudbury was my childhood home town and this is my goto hotel whenever I visit.
