We had a surprisingly big room with double bed and both of our children had a single bed each and even had two little sofas by the tv.
The room had windows we could open - so we slept very well.
The breakfast was very good

The hotel is very unique. From outside it looks very outdated but inside is the exact opposite. It is being refurbished but most of it is complete. The communal areas have lovely furnishings with unusual decor. The rooms are old but have clean furnishings. The layout is quirky, stone staircases etc

Great location. Ideal base for walking holiday. Dog friendly with gated garden. Parking on site and only 3 minutes to the beach. It was exactly as described , with everything we needed. Excellent shower.
The location of this property is superb. You walk out of the cul de sac, turn right and you are at the beach car park. The beach is dog friendly and being off season, it was quiet. The house is nicely decorated, clean and smells lovely. There is pretty much everything you could need there (except a dishwasher but there would be no space for one).
I liked the breakfast but it needs to be managed better, maybe show guests to a table. People were walking around looking lost. It was not good when it got busy. I liked the location. We went back for nostalgic reasons as we went when our boys were younger and we stayed in a caravan one year and a tent the next year. I always wanted to stay in the hotel and we did, at last!
It was Dog friendly should you need that option to stay with your pet. Having the outside part would be ideal for this.
Everything about the hotel, they are definitely dog friendly as there are many dogs there as well as ours, they had water bowls scattered around the bar area and a jar of free treats on the bar absolutely wonderful. It's a super base for walkers (with dogs)😄😄 it's reasonably priced for drinks and food. Lot of locals use the bar who are very friendly and very informative.
