For our needs - to access Dartmoor - it was an ideal location. We arrived and went to the nearby house to meet the owner and collect the keys. A truly lovely man - the perfect host - explaining all we needed to know, then departing so we could have the much needed cup of tea, but assuring us he was at hand if needed. The cottage itself was lovely. Clean, light, and certainly spacious enough for the three of us (and I'm sure four), with all the equipment/facilities we'd need. With a secluded area of garden as well as a balcony to enjoy the outdoors. And of course, mustn't forget the hot tub, which Steve fired up for us after a hard day on Saturday. We were in it for hours.

We spent 2 nights here and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The location is great, lots to see nearby (we ran out of time). The hot tub was really nice! Very kind owners who were very accommodating with us and our dog.

Wonderful location, warm welcome, room was very spacious for a family of five and two dogs. Lots of lovely personal touches, which were really welcomed, such as the dog beds already in the room. Would definitely love to stay here again and can highly recommend.

If you want to explore Dartmoor with more than few touches of luxury this is the place to go. Very considerate of those with dogs, they provide beds and bowls. They have a drying room for walking boots and soggy coats and are very kind about the kind of mess rambling brings but the place is decked out and really comfortable, crisp white sheets and apparently soon a hot tub. It was warm, clean, and the room had everything I needed to do self catering.

Really enjoyed our stay at Princetown. It was a small friendly place. The ramblers rest was a peaceful location right next to loads of hiking options. The little kitchen: fridge, sink, table etc. Was really handful for making your own breakfast and making a pack lunch for a day hiking. The beds were super comfy. Would be interested in knowing the brand to get one for our home! Happy couple. Very sweet gesture of dog bed, bowl and a bag of treats for our dog Tabasco. Plus dog ice-cream served next door - what more could a dog ask for ?!

We both loved how the place was dog friendly which made the stay feel more homily. The pub is in such a beautiful location also. Whilst at our stay the public and staff was all ever so kind. The food was also lovely (the best steak we’ve ever had) , just a really nice place overall! Definitely visit again:)
