Breakfast was disappointing, dinner was lovely. Staff were wonderful, but, seemed a bit frazzled. Disappointing that no open fires were on, apparently there was an issue last year and they needed to be relined. We have an old house and have had this done - why have they not got this done over the Summer!!!???! Lovely location, no fridge in room and no air conditioning. Relaxing, old world charm, but, a bit pricey for what it is.

The pub is how all country pubs should be: warm, welcoming, with lovely food and drink. The rooms (we stayed twice for one night each time) were comfortable, quiet and equipped with everything we needed.

a lovely b&b in the heart of Dartmoor. just a short walk away from the clapper bridge and the visitor centre and a decent pub with real ales and home cooked food. it’s the owners nome and they take pride in everything they do and provide. very dog friendly and a quality breakfast.
The food was wonderful. Lexy (my dog), despite being exceedingly grumpy, was treated like a little princess. The location was perfect, there being numerous walks from the hotel in every direction. Postbridge Clapper Bridge, Dartmoor Visitor Centre, Bellever Forest and Tor and the East dart all on the doorstep.
Great location, lovely breakfast, relaxed environment, dog friendly, lovely meadows out the back of property, our doggie loved that. Cosy comfortable room. Good pub 5 mins walk, nice pub grub
