The Retreat was delightful, set in a secure gated gardens with views through the valley to Motherwell. Very easy to get to and perfect access to road links.
The Retreat was very spacious, peaceful, warm and comfortable. Plenty of space for the dogs inside and out. The bathroom is one that you only dream of owning with plenty of soft towels..

The staff were fabulous, really friendly and welcoming and made our stay perfect for us travelling with both mums. We had dinner and breakfast and both were lovely. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The perfect location to break our journey South.

The room was comfortable and clean and perfect for the 1 night we were there. We didn’t upgrade this time but the bigger rooms are lovely.

Location was really pretty with gardens, farm areas and river to walk my dog. Hotel was convenient for travelling to and from Glasgow. Bowls, bedding and biscuits provided for dog too. Room service with breakfast was really welcome. Room and Bed was really comfortable and was given a fan for room during hot weather weekend. Hotel staff were lovely…welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond to help with any request to ensure a comfortable stay at Popinjay.
Staff were friendly and helpful. We had our Rough Collie dog with us and he was made welcome too. The location is close to the motorway so getting there was simple. The location has the river and grassy area nearby so good for a dog walk too.
size of the property was awesome, free roam for the dog on the giant lawn outside, secluded location, apartment layout was great, really enjoyed it here i extended, would 100 percent be looking to stay again
