Pleasantly surprised! I needed to get somewhere near Tarbert and everything was booked up so chose the Grey Gull despite not having the best reviews. Don't be put off by them as this is a hidden gem. It's a beautiful old building with a bit of history and has a fantastic character and atmosphere. It may need a bit of work here and there, but it's rather modern inside. I loved my room at way at the top. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Despite being next to the road, the window was really sound proofed. Watching the moon rise and sunrise was amazing. I also had dinner there which was delicious and treated exceptionally well by the staff. Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming.Definitely recommend.

Our experience at the B&B was exceptional. Sue was incredibly welcoming and provided us with great recommendations for things to do in the area. She also prepared the best breakfast we had during our trip! The B&B is located in a peaceful area, and the interior is simply fabulous!

One of the best places we’ve stayed. Warm welcome from the owners, room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, bed and bedding perfect. The view from our room and from patio was stunning. Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be returning!

Hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and available when we needed help but otherwise left us to enjoy our stay.
POD was well equipped and had some unexpected treats like coffee pods, milk, chocolate, and plenty of sightseeing tips.
Location was central to points of interest, activities, and dining options, including a very friendly local pub.
Outlook from the POD verandah was sensational.
Lovely rural location in Kilmichael Glen. Big garden and uninterrupted views of the scenery. Cosy cottage with everything included.
The perfect place for a relaxing holiday.
No Wi-Fi/phone signal!! After the eldest initial shock we had a great time as a family, board games, watch a movie in the cottage. Weather was rubbish but it was the chilled escape we needed. Beds were comfy, lovely bedding, cottage was a nice temperature.
Located well for day trips but unless you're heavily into walking then a week is probably enough.
