Close to the end of a tough day on the Pennines Way. Great hosts and the food was excellent with good portions and try the chocolate brownie. Nothing was too much trouble for the host. We felt very welcome and well fed. Thank you Lana.

The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. The shower was hot. The included breakfast was yum and dinner was delish. A cafe from 10am till 8pm offers good coffee and a nice choice of cakes. It is out of the town which we liked.
This family-run, 5-bedroom traditional pub overlooks the River South Tyne. It has traditional cider and cask ales, homemade bar meals and welcoming, friendly staff.

Very good site. Facilities basic but more than acceptable. Bathroom & toilet nearby & pub a 25min walk away. Very quiet, on a farm, a long way from the road. Excellent walking territory for our dog

It was cosy, warm and comfy with beautiful views. The heater meant we were toasty warm on the first cold night of autumn. The scones and jam on arrival were a welcome touch.

A lovely place to stay with perfect hosts, delicious breakfast, rightly deserving the great reviews we read before booking. Lana & Phil are perfect hosts, friendly and offering everything you could need for a quiet, peaceful and comfortable stay. The location is picture perfect, we can thoroughly recommend it and hope to return again.
Lovely tranquil location, nice not to have to worry about extra locking onto my motorcycle overnight, Lana and Phil sorted an evening meal at very short notice.
Breakfast in the morning was really very well cooked and nothing was skimped at all with the facilities, bathroom , TV etc.
We had a wonderful stay. Lana was the perfect host. Great communication. The rooms were lovely, and it was great to have our own lounge to relax in. Breakfast was fabulous and Lana could not have made us feel more at home.
Lana the host is a friendly, welcoming and helpful. She has really good local knowledge. Breakfast was really excellent. I was visiting for work so did not have enough time to appreciate the area but the village is scenic and in a lovely location.
