Staff friendly location was lovely. Breakfast was excellent cooked to a high standard. Served in the hotel Evening meal was fine but location not ideal. Having to go outside to the spa facilities on a November night not what was expected and regrettably detracted from the evening.

Historic building, full of character and tastefully furnished - right at the heart of the village. Ample parking, warm welcome from lovely hosts and really dog friendly. The doggy welcome packs were well received! Lovely large bedroom with comfy bed and smart bathroom. Dinner in the bar and breakfast were good quality. Overall a great place to stay.

There was a huge amount of mold on the carpet and the room smelt really bad. It looked as if perhaps there had been a recent leak. The room itself was not very clean and really needed a lick of paint. It did not feel comfortable or welcoming. The breakfast was poor too. The location was nice but overall I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was much larger than expected. We (including our dog) were welcomed by the manager. The ensuite was clean with a lovely large shower. Very comfortable bed, pillows and sheets. The garden outside had shady areas which was perfect for our dog given the extreme heat. Great location for what we needed and parking available. Oh, and an electric fan - brilliant!!

The location is excellent especially for visiting Sussex & surrounding towns. It is a lovely old building which has been restored very well. It has a nice ambience & the restaurant is particularly pleasant. Separate Bar & seated area for Bar Food. Very nice room, comfy bed. Nicely decorated. One criticism was the carpet

I had a small but lovely, clean and decorated well double bedroom. There was a smart TV which is always a bonus allowing you to sign into Netflix/Amazon instead of the usual boring free view channels. The wi-fi was free and strong, the full English breakfast was fantastically tasty and the assistant manager a really helpful and nice lady. Overall a perfect place to stay, dog friendly and great location, would definitely recommend and stay here again. 10/10
