Without exception all staff were friendly, great choice of beers, exceptional home cooked meals (the belly pork was the best I've had for a long time and the pies are at least as good as the Parkers Arms). Location is great and with pleasant outside seating area and dog friendly.

Stunning location. Dog friendly pub with good ales, wood fired pizza oven backed up by a varied menu with efficient, attentive staff that just ticks all boxes.. Live (chilled)music whilst we were there that set a good bar atmosphere. Good breakfast as well! Perfect base for a nice long weekend away and plenty of interesting passing traffic as petrol heads on a pilgrimage drive the Hardnott pass.
