Excellent experience. Super cute and comfy pod. Excellent host. Loved the fire pit. I had one of the famous burgers, cooked over the fire pit, delicious! The host checked up on me later (there was a massive storm) and brought home made cake - an unexpected treat. The pod is warm and cosy and I was extremely glad to be there (should have been camping!!). There is a lovely shared kitchen which is cosy and well equipped. There are shared toilet and shower facilities which are spotless. The shared facilities are only for a couple of the smaller pods.

Fabulous b&b in a great location. The bay suite was exceptional, such attention to detail. The bed was very comfy, lots of in-room facilities and incredible view over the bay with a bath in the room to view it from. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I came across the Northern Sands quite by accident and I am very glad I did. A little gem. The hotel is located approximately 8 mile out of Thurso but well worth the additional mileage. The staff couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. I had both a lovely dinner in their onsite restaurant & a freshly prepared breakfast even though I wanted it before their normal starting time of 0700.
The property is in a lovely location overlooking the sea. It is a beautiful and clean property with the added benefit of the free use of the on site hot tub. The breakfast was of excellent quality and delivered to our property by the friendly and helpful hosts. The bed was extremely comfortable.
