Location was spot on. Climbed Scafell Pike Saturday so stayed the night before. Breakfast hit the spot for the big climb. Views from the beer garden were second to none.

The cottage was just perfect. Amazing views, everything you needed in the cottage. Perfect location for us after climbing Scafell pike & close to the lake.

We walked to the Boot, on a very rainy day. The staff were so helpful with our wet gear, sorting luggage, helping us to our rooms. The team was so friendly throughout our stay and the food was fantastic. and they really are dog friendly, Finn the collie loved it too.

Wastwater cottage was perfect for our 8 adult family group with plenty of room for us plus 2 medium sized dogs.
Two pubs/ resteraunts in easy walking distance with lovely food and typical relaxed Lake District dog friendly ambiance.
Great location, very good facilities, hosts were able to help us by providing 2 bbqs, allowed my dog to stay. Overall a great place to start climb of Scafell.
