This pub was very deceptive, it’s quite dark downstairs, but after being shown to our room, we were very impressed. Room was lovely. Pub is in a quiet village, so noise levels in the room was very very low. Meals were pub grub but very nice. There wasn’t anything to do around the area, but it’s a great place to stay whilst visiting other areas.

Staff were very welcoming. Nothing was any trouble. Standard of food in Restaurant was excellent.
Accommodation location was easily accessible for golfers.
We felt like we were the first visitors to this wonderful accommodation, it was spotless, beautifully presented with some luxurious touches and superbly comfortable. The beds were top notch. We and our dog were made totally welcome and we really appreciated the local information and breakfast treats provided by John and Sandra. The location is lovely, with fabulous wildlife in a secluded valley yet easily accessible from the A7.
Everything about the place and the surrounding areas. Everything we wanted nice and quiet with the smiddy restaurant just down the road for your evening meals. We were greeted by the host and given a full rundown of everything of places to go and see. She was very welcoming to us both and so was her husband. Great people. They let us walk our dog in their field and in the woods across the road. Absolutely brilliant.
Very spacious, good facilities, all equipment you need. Drying room was a godsend due to the weather. Fantastic value for what we paid with as much golf as you wanted included. Good location for borders and Edinburgh. Lovely view from cottage. free WiFi
There were two of us and my dog. We knew when we booked that there was no cooker but there was a microwave and a grill and it suited us to eat out. John and Sandra were available to help us if we needed anything. We'll go back there.
