Room was excellent, in a small courtyard just outside the main building we had the continental breakfast included in the room rate, had to wait until 9.00 am for the cooked breakfast, our evening meal was very good, enjoyed the whole stay second time in a couple of weeks, will probably stay again

The Billesley Manor Hotel, hotel in Alcester

Set in 11 acres of parkland, Billesley Manor is a 16th century Elizabethan manor house.

We had a great, stylish room, luxurious bathroom facilities and a massive and very comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the historic building, access to the modern spa facilities and the well maintained grounds, and were supported by friendly, helpful staff.

The Mary Arden Inn, hotel in Alcester

A traditional country inn named after Shakespeare’s mother, just 3 miles from Stratford centre, The Mary Arden Inn has a bar, garden and free Wi-Fi in public areas.

The Inn is a stone's throw from Mary Arden's House (Shakespeare's mother) in the quiet and pretty village of Wilmcote, three miles or so out of noisy, crowded Stratford. So a good location for a short stay.

Location is great. We had a comfortable room which was well priced, including a fantastic breakfast. The owner and all the staff were very welcoming ,helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We arrived late and were able to have a good meal after a long journey. A nice touch were the thoughtful little extras such as tea, coffee, biscuits in the room and 2 bottles of water as well as some nice toiletries in the bathroom. Fluffy towels made it perfect. We will stay again and recommend the Roebuck as a great base to stay and explore the area!
