We loved the room, very much in keeping with the age of the house, lovely big comfy bed, great ensuite. Breakfast was continental, help yourself which we quite like because we don't eat a lot.

Great location, welcoming and friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Added bonus of a lovely outdoor space to eat as it was a warm evening, good choice of meals and great service. Good to see a busy pub full of Sunday quiz teams, visitors and diners.
stayed here several times now so know exactly what to expect. It is convenient for us due to location & visiting family within walking distance.rooms always clean & ready
Location is great. We had a comfortable room which was well priced, including a fantastic breakfast. The owner and all the staff were very welcoming ,helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We arrived late and were able to have a good meal after a long journey. A nice touch were the thoughtful little extras such as tea, coffee, biscuits in the room and 2 bottles of water as well as some nice toiletries in the bathroom. Fluffy towels made it perfect. We will stay again and recommend the Roebuck as a great base to stay and explore the area!
Beautiful location. The Blue Boar is a stunning 16th century pub with rooms, very tastefully decorated and furnished. Excellent food and drink. Beautiful garden. Staff were all friendly, professional and couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely be returning.

we paid a bit extra for a better room. it was really clean, great shower, new carpet. only thing that let it down was could feel springs in mattress. staff were lovely and great location and parking. we’d been to a christening in the function room which was a great space with access to garden. really enjoyed our stay. a mattress topper would make all the difference!
